Scholarship Search
Besides the federal government, there are many other sources of
financial aid. These sources include companies, civic and fraternal
organizations, foundations and, of course, colleges and universities
themselves. They may offer grants and scholarships, special loans,
internships and work programs.
Much of the aid is based on financial need. But much is not. Instead,
the aid may be based on academic achievement, career interests,
athletic ability, church membership, geographic location, employment
benefits, and other factors. You can search out possibilities at
your public or high school library, counselor’s office, etc.
